What is Almost Normal Comics anyway?
Almost Normal Comics is an alternative comics publisher devoted to the art of storytelling
and to supporting the small press.
Almost Normal Comics started up on April Fools Day 2001 with the release of a horror comic zine titled "The Tale Teller's Grave Digger." After that reviews of small press comics and zines were posted on the website. Pretty soon plenty of comics, zines, and even some music started coming in for review. In an attempt to help promote all of the neat publications, reviews were posted on an almost monthly schedule!
While that was going on new comic zines were also being published by Almost Normal Comics and, in addition to the reviews, a small press Resources listing was added to the website and Almost Normal Art galleries were setup to exhibit the talents of some lowbrow artists!
Then, in 2003, Almost Normal Comics released Almost Normal Comics and Other Oddities #1. A professionally printed, nationally distributed alternative comics anthology showcasing various independent artists and writers!
Today Almost Normal Comics remains dedicated to publishing alternatives to the mainstream, and promoting all the great works being created by indie artists!
